TTCF presently comprises of over 30 member Teams / approximately 400 athletes in various College, High Schools, and Primary School. TTCF hosts Local Championships consistently welcoming over 20 teams, and continues to grow as a cohesive mark for all those who are dedicated to the positive advancement of cheerleading throughout the twin Isles and by extension the world.
TTCF is a member of the International Cheer Union (ICU. In accordance with the ICU statutes, the TTCF is confirmed as Trinidad and Tobago governing body of Cheerleading and the authority on all matters related to it.
Individuals and organizations both local and international have contributed to the principles and ideals embodied in the TTCF. The TTCF is structured to provide balanced input and governance based on the various stages of development in which cheerleading finds itself across the island. It serves as a powerful advocate for those who are truly dedicated to the advancement of cheerleading, and especially for the young athletes who participate, and with this mission- has trained athletes, coaches and judges.
The TTCF appreciates all contributions made to the development of cheerleading in our twin isle. We continue to work closely with all parties of interest on this great journey.
Encourage and promote the moral standards which are enhanced through sports experiences and sports education.
Manage, direct, promote, organize, and assist the activities and disciplines associated with Cheer;
Encourage the continuance, growth and advancement of Cheer programs and opportunities to the Nation's youth;
Communicate with and support the formation of new Cheer teams (Schools and Clubs)
To develop, support and encourage Cheer programs, activities, and events for further development/ advancement of cheer;
Create a platform for international representation of Trinidad and Tobago in worldwide events, exchanges, and competition;
Work with companies, manufacturers, agencies, and all other entities which have the ability to assist in the growth, development, and promotion of Cheer;
Recognize outstanding Cheer contributions by groups, individuals, and organizations;
Provide quality coaches, facilitators to teams, with tools for researching trends, technology, ideas, issues, and solutions to problems associated with Cheer;
Provide and create the opportunity to discuss, enhance, and evaluate changes in Cheer; Coordinating efforts with other organizations promoting Cheer;
Follow and promote the laws of the ICU and Our National Sporting Organization Principles and ideals;
Create, promote, disseminate, and have jurisdiction over the rules of conduct, rules and regulations for standard competitions, competitive events and programs
Do all things essential to accomplish the purposes and goals of the organization.
